Weekends Make Me Happy

Been meaning to blog about last weekend since Sunday night, but little Miss Hayden Marie has been teething like crazy and it's been a rough few days around these parts. For some reason these 2 teeth are making her a hot mess.  Her fangy little smile is soon to be a thing of the past.

Anyways, Chris and I BOTH had last weekend off. This is a wonderful thing because it allows us to take turns sleeping in on one day or the other.  Words can not express how good it feels to be able to sleep until 10 or 11. I was able to wake up feeling rested which resulted in enough motivation to clean up the house and throw a roast in the crock pot. Any day I can sleep in, clean the house and have dinner started by noon is AWESOME.

The sun even came out for a whole 30 minutes or so on Saturday. A small window of time, but large enough to make a quick dash to the park up the street for a bit of swing time and a few trips down the slide. It's Seattle, you gotta take what you can get. Hayden enjoyed it very much.

On Sunday we took Hayden to Seattle Aquarium for the first time. It was so cute to watch her face light up when she'd see all the creatures and critters there. She'd smile really big and then turn and look at Chris or I  like "can you believe all this?" It's so fun to experience life through her eyes. It really makes life seem magical again.

  1. How fun!!! I LOVE the Seattle Aquarium! She's just too cute. I love the fangs. And your pot roast made me hungry right before bed!
