Where Does the Time Go?

Ah, yes. I knew this would happen. I'd start a blog and post most frequently in the very beginning and then they'd lessen after a while. Sometimes life just isn't THAT exciting, I suppose. I doubt everybody is interested in hearing me chit chat about our busy weekly schedule of work, daycare, commuting, bills and chores. Although, it is those very things that make the time FLY by. Hayden turned 9 months just 2 days ago! 9 MONTHS! Can you believe it?! I sure can't. I've been back at work for the same amount of time that I was on maternity leave now (4 & 1/2 months). She is starting to grow and change so quickly, it's getting harder and harder to be away from her during the day.

What's new with Hayden?

Well....
1.  She can sit herself up from a lying position.

2.  She can stand herself up from a sitting position while holding on to something and even walk a few steps to the right or left (although not exactly gracefully)

3.  She's waving all the time. To EVERYONE! When I woke her up this morning and lifted her out of her crib, the first thing she did was smile and wave TO ME! It melted my heart <3

4. She can army crawl a little. Although she is usually crying in frustration all the while because we won't pick up whatever it is we're teasing her with and JUST GIVE IT TO HER!

5.  She's getting good with her finger dexterity and is LOVING Cheerios! It's cute watching her eat them.

6.  She currently has 2 bottom teeth and we're pretty sure those top 2 are trying to work their way out, too.

Some days I feel that I'm missing too much and wish I could just spend all my days marveling at every second of her growth.  I've always been a working kinda girl, though. And in all honestly I might get a little bored with the SAHM bit, too. The grass is always greener on the other side, right?

  1. She is such a doll! And my FAVORITE thing about my kids learning to crawl was that Army crawl, too cute! I also agree, the grass is always greener. I've learned that the hard way! Glad to see another mother as completely smitten with their little girl as I am! Isn't being a mom the best?!

  2. Hayden is ridiculously adorable! I appreciate your honesty about work vs. SAHM. I feel the same way! Especially at this age.
